Junior Account Assistant



It is a clerical post. You generally posted in Zonal Headquarter or Divisional headquarter. Your posting should be in the accounting department of Railway. Here all types of billing, the salary of staff, and other job-related money matters handled. You will post as the junior staff of that department. It has the Grade Pay of Rs 2800/-. Starting basic pay of Rs 29200/-. The next promotion is Grade Pay Rs 4200/-. Normally you will be promoted as a Section officer in GP Rs 5400/-. After working in GP Rs 4200/- for three years you are eligible to in departmental exam to be promoted as Group B officer In Indian Railway starting from GP Rs 5400/-. With basic Salary of Rs 29200 allowance is HRA, Transport allowance, DA will be added to your salary. Increment rate is 3% per year as per pay matrix of 7th CPC                                                     

Assistant Station Master

It is a very important post directly related to training running. You have gone through training before you permanent posted as ASM in the station of the cabin. There is refresher training after every three in your total service life. You will be posted in any station of your division. It may be in the remote or big station. But generally, new appointment staff posted in remote stations. It is 8hrs duty. But if you posted in RRI cabin duty hrs will less 6 hrs in a day. It is one of the most responsible posts in Indian railway. Salary starts from Rs 35400 in Grade Pay Rs 4200/-. With basic Salary of Rs 35400 allowance is HRA, Transport allowance, DA will be added to your salary. Increment rate is 3% per year as per the pay matrix of 7th CPC. Normally you will be promoted up to GP Rs 5400/- in your service life. After working in GP Rs 4200/- for three years you are eligible to in departmental exam to be promoted as Group B officer In Indian Railway starting from GP Rs 5400/-.

                                        Goods Guard 

It is a very important post directly related to training running. You have gone through training before you permanent posted as Goods guard.  There is refresher training after every three in your total service life. In your duty, you are in charge of a train. It is a roster base duty. There is no fixed time to start your duty. You may be called for duty after 16 hrs from your off duty. After a few years of duty as Goods guard, you will be promoted as Passenger train Guard. After working in GP Rs 4200/- for three years you are eligible to in departmental exam to be promoted as Group B officer In Indian Railway starting from GP Rs 5400/-. With basic Salary of Rs 35400 (+ 30%of basic pay as pay element) allowance is HRA, Transport allowance, DA will be added to your salary. You will earn running allowance as per kilometre you run in your duty with a train. This is one of the toughest jobs in Indian railway.

 

Job Security

In all three cases the job is 100 % secured until doing a fatal mistake in case ASM and goods guards. In case of  JAA if not involved in any fraud or illegal money matters within Railway.

 

Retirement  

In all three cases it same as Pvt sector as there is no secure system of pension. As railway adopted a new pension scheme. And your pension is now the hand of the fund manager and depends on the stock market.
